Vancouver Native Health Society

Established in 1991, Vancouver Native Health Society currently delivers medical, counseling and social services, with an emphasis on providing care to the Aboriginal community. All programs are accessible without fees to native and non-native individuals residing in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. This "ghettoized" neighborhood is home for most of the Lower Mainland's most marginalized society: substance dependent individuals, the mentally ill, homeless, immigrants, troubled youth and First Nations people.
